TECHNICAL INFORMATION
──────────────────────────────────────

The Honda CVT Friction Pack contains friction clutch components used inside the transmission to transfer and control torque during operation.

Friction materials operate under heat, hydraulic pressure and continuous mechanical load.

Over time, excessive heat, contaminated transmission fluid, insufficient hydraulic pressure or internal transmission problems can cause friction material to wear, glaze or become damaged.

When rebuilding the transmission, the friction pack should be carefully inspected along with the mating steel plates, pistons, seals and hydraulic components.

Possible symptoms associated with internal friction wear can include:

• Transmission slipping
• Delayed engagement
• Poor Drive engagement
• Poor Reverse engagement
• Shudder or hesitation
• Abnormal RPM flare
• Burnt transmission fluid
• Friction material in the transmission pan
• Reduced torque transfer
• Internal transmission overheating

Replacing the Honda CVT Friction Pack alone does NOT guarantee correction of these symptoms.

The complete CVT should be properly diagnosed before rebuilding.

Professional transmission installation is strongly recommended.

INFORMACIÓN TÉCNICA

Los discos de fricción son componentes internos responsables de transmitir y controlar torque dentro de la transmisión.

Trabajan bajo presión hidráulica, temperatura y carga mecánica.

El sobrecalentamiento, fluido contaminado, pérdida de presión hidráulica o desgaste interno pueden deteriorar el material de fricción.

Al reconstruir la transmisión recomendamos inspeccionar también los discos de acero, pistones, sellos y componentes hidráulicos.

Síntomas que pueden estar relacionados con desgaste interno incluyen:

• Patinamiento
• Demora al colocar Drive
• Demora al colocar Reverse
• Vibración
• RPM inestables
• Fluido quemado
• Material de fricción dentro del cárter
• Sobrecalentamiento

La transmisión debe diagnosticarse correctamente antes de efectuar la reparación.
